| December 9, 2021 1:00 AM

Janet Louise Crapo, 64, passed away at her home in Athol, Idaho, on Nov. 16, 2021. Janet was born on May 29, 1957, in Roseville, Calif., to Herb and Lela Hebuck. After graduating from Roseville High, she studied project management at Sacramento State College. Janet spent her employment career at the State of California as a project manager before retiring and moving to Idaho in 2001.

Janet loved life and her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her two sons and their children. Janet married the love of her life, Stan Crapo in 1998. They were so devoted to each other. They traveled, went to grandchildren’s sporting events, they were passionate about working on their home and landscaping, simply enjoying life as a couple. Janet enjoyed sports and was in a ladies’ softball league for many years. She was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan!

Friends and family will remember Janet’s infectious laugh and her thoughtful gestures. She remembered every birthday and made sure all her friends were doing OK. She was affectionately nicknamed Momma Jan due to her caring, loving style and always being there just to listen, advise, comfort and give a warm hug when needed most. All who knew her will miss her generosity and compassion along with that laugh and big, bright white smile.

Janet leaves behind her husband, Stan; son, Jason Belche, wife, Devin, and their kids, Tyler and Arianna, of Ione, Calif.; and son, Ryan Belche, wife Erika, and their children, Mathew, Gabby and Brody of Coeur d’Alene; along with stepdaughter, Sabrina Schmidt, of Placerville, Calif. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Lela Hebuck.

There will be a celebration of her life on Dec. 11, 2021, at Stan and Jan’s home in Athol, Idaho.
