Jody Annette (MacDonald) Corbin, 70

| December 3, 2021 1:00 AM

Jody Annette (MacDonald) Corbin passed away at the age of 70, at home surrounded by family on Nov. 11, 2021, in Hayden, Idaho.

Jody was born on Aug. 14, 1951, to Mae Belle MacDonald and Dan Allen MacDonald in Lewiston, Idaho. Jody grew up in Idaho attending Catholic School where her foundation of faith was first built. She later worked at Potlatch Plywood Mill in Pierce, Idaho, then moved to Barrow, Alaska, where she worked as a police dispatcher for several years.

The love of family brought her back to Idaho, where she met her soon-to-be husband, Robert Corbin. Over the next 29 years Rob and Jody were inseparable, the best of friends, companions and soul mates. Jody ran the book for Rob’s construction company, RC Concrete, and continued in that role long after her husband retired.

Jody loved her family and cherished spending time with them. She was an incredible cook and loved giving to her friends and family with her gift of cooking. She loved her stepchildren and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and nieces. She was a kid at heart and probably had more fun spending time with her grandkids and nieces than the kids themselves. Jody had a huge heart with endless love, which she shared with everyone. She had an incredible ability to love, and loved deeply, and she shared that love with her family and friends like no other. Jody loved life and had a laugh that was contagious and would fill up a room. Jody loved Jesus and loved her Catholic faith and church.

While we are heartbroken and will miss her, we know she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven.

Jody was preceded in death by both her parents, Mae Belle and Dan Allen MacDonald, and her brothers, Dan Angus MacDonald and Terry MacDonald.

Jody is survived by her beloved husband; Robert Corbin, stepchildren; John Corbin, Mary Nelson, and Anne Martin. Daughter-in-law; Colleen Corbin; sister-in-law; Sonja MacDonald and Ed Steed, nieces; Melanie Wirth and Stacy Gorseth. Grandchildren: Amy Nelson, Hunter Nelson, Tori Williamson, Marni Frazier, Allison Sanchez, Michael Corbin and Matthew Corbin. Great-granddaughter: Emma Williamson.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, at St George’s Catholic Church in Post Falls, Idaho, with a reception to follow. The church address is 2004 N. Lucas St. Post Falls, Idaho.
