PREP BASKETBALL: Wallace runs past Post Falls JV

WALLACE — Wallace senior Jaden House had 24 points to lead the Miners past the Post Falls JV 63-43 at Kirby Krulitz Court on Wednesday night.

“Post Falls is a scrappy team,” said Wallace coach Nicole Farkas, whose team beat the Trojan JV 47-34 on Nov. 19 in Wallace. “We are increasing the temp of our game and finding multiple ways to score. It was a good team effort tonight.”

Britany Phillips and Grace Hunter scored nine points each for Wallace (4-1), which plays at St. Maries tonight.”

Freshman Myckenzee Mitley scored 18 points for the Post Falls JV.

MOSCOW — Riply Luna and Kolby Luna scored 19 points apiece for the Wildcats, who were unable to bounce back from an early hole against the Bears at Bear Den.

“They caught fire scoring 26 in the first quarter, and we didn’t do enough to make them uncomfortable,” Kellogg coach Mike Martin said. “We’re not where we need to be defensively quite yet.”

Tanner Groves scored 13 points for Kellogg (0-2), which faces Lakeside in the second game of the Silver Valley Tournament at Andrews Gymnasium on Friday.

Jamari Simpson scored 24 points for Moscow (2-0).
