Free winter driving classes

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department and Les Schwab Tires are offering free winter driving classes today and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.

Classes cover driving in snow/ice, avoiding crashes, staying safe in the event of a crash and what to do if stranded.

The course is offered as a refresher, or for drivers not familiar with driving in slick conditions.
