Wood, a senior from Post Falls High, finished fifth out of 149 runners in the Girls 5K Championship race at the Nike Northwest Championships at Eagle Island State Park on Nov. 13. Wood, who finished fifth at the state 5A meet at Eagle Island on Oct. 29, finished in 18 minutes, 20.4 seconds. She recently signed to run cross country at Boise State.
