Antone Ornellas, 93

Antone Ornellas (93) passed away on Nov. 12, after having a short illness with pneumonia. Antone was born on June 13, 1928, to Maria (Souza) Ornellas and Manuel D. Ornellas in New Bedford, Mass.

Antone married Jean Ackerman on Nov 27, 1948. In 1957 Antone and Jean moved to California. Antone and Jean had five children together, David Ornellas, Steven Ornellas, Jeannie Girard, Richard Ornellas and Brad Ornellas.

Antone worked as a general contractor for American Contracting; later he owned his own business for many years before retiring in 1992.

In 1998 Antone and Jean moved to Post Falls, Idaho, where he enjoyed painting, drawing, cooking, golfing and attending Real Life Ministries.

Antone was preceded in death by his son David. He is survived by his wife Jean Ornellas, Sons, Steven, Richard, Brad Ornellas and daughter Jeannie Girard, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Graveside service held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls, Idaho, with a memorial service at 1 p.m. at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho, with a potluck to follow.
