| August 30, 2021 1:00 AM

BLANCHARD - A 58-year-old Rathdrum man was hurt in a midday accident on Sunday when his motorcycle struck another vehicle on State Highway 41 at Tweedie Road, near Blanchard.

Idaho State Police reported that Donald Stinson was traveling north on Highway 41 at 11:50 a.m. on a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle.

A 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by Dee McHenry, 65, of Newport, Wash., was also traveling north on Highway 41, and slowed to make a left-hand turn onto Tweedie, police reported.

Stinson allegedly failed to yield and rear-ended the Tacoma, causing his bike to go off the road onto the east shoulder, police reported. He was thrown from his motorcycle and landed in the field.

Stinson was taken by air ambulance to Kootenai Health, police reported. McHenry and her three passengers were wearing seatbelts and not injured.

The investigation is ongoing, police reported.
