School board sets forum

| August 28, 2021 1:00 AM

The Board of Trustees for Coeur d'Alene Public Schools will host its first community forum of the school year from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Lakes Middle School.

It will be outdoors in the school's central courtyard.

This is an opportunity for community members to ask questions, provide feedback and listen to other voices, according to a flier.

"Please help ensure that all voices are heard in a respectful and civil environment," it states.

The Board of Trustees, Superintendent Shon Hocker and other district administrators are expected to attend.

"We hope to address the concerns of parents and community members, particularly about this school year," the flier said. "Our goal is also to help our community understand the decisions we make, how we make them, and why."
