Paul Bunyan Days in St. Maries

The annual Paul Bunyan Days celebration is set for Labor Day weekend in St. Maries. It includes a parade, logging competitions, water events, motocross races, carnival rides, demolition derby, food and crafts, quilt show, tug of war contest, music and fireworks.

The four-day celebration honors the logging history in St. Maries and attracts nearly 30,000 people. There is no charge for parking or admission.

Friday’s fun on Sept. 3 includes a pet and doll parade at 5 p.m. for kids.

Saturday’s highlights include the Junior Olympics, Karen Ebert Memorial 5k fun run, and the Crash for Cash Demo Derby.

Sunday features an auction, logging competition and fireworks.

Monday’s main event is the parade on Main Street starting at 9:30 a.m.
