Free organ concert Aug. 24

Organist James Welch will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2293 W. Hanley.

His performance will feature a variety of styles, arrangements of folk tunes, hymns and a Christmas carol.

It will be about an hour-long concert.

Welch lives in Provo, Utah. In 2015 He performed around the world, including at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, just a few months before it was devastated in a fire.
