WORLEY — Former Mead High and Washington State golfer Amy Eneroth is playing in next week's Symetra Tour Circling Raven Championship on a tourney invite/exemption, tourney officials said.

Eneroth is the golf fitness instructor and golf shop assistant manager at Kalispel Golf and Country Club in Spokane (formerly the Spokane Country Club).

She is also a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Professional. TPI Certification gives trainers the knowledge and tools to design effective conditioning programs for players of all ages and abilities.

Eneroth grew up in Spokane and has played golf ever since she could walk. She played high school golf for Mead, then went on to compete four years at WSU and graduated with a degree in sport management. During her high school and college career she competed in two U.S. Girls Junior Championships, three Junior World Championships and three U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships.

After finishing up her college career she played the Cactus Tour for a summer, then played well enough in Q-School to secure status on the Symetra Tour. She spent the next four years on the road playing on the Symetra Tour, trying to make it to the LPGA Tour.

The Symetra Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA Tour and enters its 41st competitive season in 2021. The 10 players on the Symetra Tour with the highest cumulative money won by season’s end earn their LPGA Tour membership for 2022.

A field of 132 players is expected for the Circling Raven Championship, the 16th stop on the 2021 “Road to the LPGA.” The tournament proper is scheduled for Aug. 27-29, and preceded by a pro-am, practice rounds and other events.

The total purse for the 54-hole tourney is $200,000. There will be a cut to the low 60 players and ties after 36 holes. The winner’s share is $30,000.

“The two-year wait to bring women’s professional golf to the No. 1 course in Idaho is finally over with our athletes competing at Circling Raven Golf Club with just five events to go,” said Mike Nichols, chief business officer of LPGA Qualifying Tours. “Their team has created an elite hospitality experience at one of the most scenic golf courses we play all year. There will be no shortage of player’s social media showcasing the incredible views as they look to earn a spot in the top-10 and graduate onto the LPGA Tour.”

First- and second-round action gets underway at 7 a.m. PDT off the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Meanwhile, the final round will start at 7:30 a.m. PDT, with all play beginning from No. 1 and a trophy presentation following on the 18th green.
