KELLOGG — The Prichard Fire burning north of the Silver Valley is 100% contained as of late Tuesday.

The fire has burned about 1,300 acres since lightning sparked it in early July.

Meanwhile, the neighboring Deceitful Fire is 11% contained as of Tuesday.

Officials said that the benefit of weekend rainfall has largely diminished.

If weather and fire conditions remain favorable, firing operations on the Avista corridor and Road 620C above Coeur d’Alene River Road will proceed.

Crews will patrol, check sprinklers and mop up as needed.

Warmer temperatures expected this week bring with them the potential for increased fire behavior.

To the south, crews are making progress on the Stateline Complex fire.

The complex is burning on the St. Joe Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, to the south and west of the Idaho-Montana state line.

The Tumbledown Fire, the largest in the complex, has burned about 9,100 acres so far.

It is 5% contained as of Tuesday. Additional fire crews have arrived to help suppression efforts.

The neighboring Dolly Creek Fire is 46% contained — “enormous progress” compared to Monday, officials said, when the blaze was 0% contained.

The fire has burned about 830 acres so far.
