Programs set on emergency preparations

| August 7, 2021 1:00 AM

Larry and Barb Dodge, certified basic emergency responders with Aglow International, will be leading presentations next week on planning and preparedness for emergencies.

Attendees can learn how to organize emergency supplies, determine what is needed for them and formulate an emergency response plan for their family, neighbors and community.

"In weather storms, pandemic situations, and any other attack on our homeland, be prepared to protect your family and neighborhood," a press release said.

The programs are scheduled 6 to 9 each night, starting Aug. 9 at the VFW Hall 1325 Pine St., Sandpoint; Aug. 10 at Church on the Solid Rock, 55 Walden Lane, Spirit Lake; Aug. 11 at VFW Hall 318 E. Mullan, Osburn; and Aug. 12 at American Legion, 1138 Poleline, Post Falls.

Emergency blankets will be given to the first 50 attendees.

North Idaho Area Team of Aglow International is organizing the programs. Let them know you're coming at 907-242-5629, or aglownidaho@gmail.com.

Donations of $5 per person will be accepted.

The Dodges are trained responders with Crisis Response International. They also serve as chaplains to public safety officers.
