Showcase raises $5M

The Showcase golf exhibition at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course on Friday and Saturday raised more than $5 million for the Community Cancer Fund.

A celebrity field played 36 holes over two rounds. It included 40 sports figures from baseball, football, basketball, and golf, headlined by NHL great Wayne Gretzky and his wife, Janet Gretzky.

It was the largest field of golfers, largest group of corporate partners, largest attendance and the most money raised in the event’s history. In seven years, it has raised more than $22 million.

Community Cancer Fund works with regional cancer organizations to identify and fund gaps in services provided to cancer patients.
