NorthWest Breeze floats to Riverstone

| August 5, 2021 1:00 AM

The NorthWest Breeze, a five-piece independent reggae-rock band based in Coeur d’Alene will perform tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Riverstone Park as part of the free Riverstone Summer Concert series.

“We’ve been waiting for this all year long,” Joe Ayon, drummer for NorthWest Breeze, said. “We’re ready to go.”

The band's influences stem from hip-hop, blues and alternative genres with instruments ranging from strings, drums, keys and brass.

Ayon said he enjoys playing in Coeur d’Alene because of the beautiful scenery and art which their music can add to. The band has played together coming on three years and was recently seen playing for the monthly artwalk in downtown Coeur d’Alene. This is their first time performing for the summer concert series.

The concert is opened by Keanu Shioya who offers a laid-back take on alternative classics and is sponsored by KPND Radio 94.3.
