Robert Bockman, 90

Robert Bockman, age 90 of Post Falls, Idaho passed away July 18, 2021, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, after a brief illness.

Bob was born Sept. 3, 1930, to Herman and Elsie (Marcks) Bockman in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He was raised and worked on his grandparents’ farm in Libby, Mont. Bob was a corporal in the United States Army where he became certified as an automotive and tank mechanic and was honorably discharged.

While Bob was attending University of Idaho he met Patricia Lee. Shortly after they were married, they made their home in Post Falls, Idaho. Bob’s career was at Northwest Timber operating heavy machinery. They fostered Michael and Jannet for a short time. Soon after, they adopted Todd and Betti Jane. They lived on a farm where Bob loved raising cattle, pigs, ducks, lambs, and chickens. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, boating, and time with family.

Shortly after Bob was widowed he married Beverly Boraas. They made a beautiful home and loved raising multiple pets throughout the years. They enjoyed traveling and were avid rock hounds, belonging to the Rock Rollers Club. Many of their road trips were spent collecting treasures. Bob was blessed to have her to love and care for him.

Bob will forever be remembered by his wife Beverly. His daughter Betti Swan (David). His three grandchildren, Ashley Lahaderne (Jason), Erika Hull, Michael Swan. His four great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Jacob, Sarah, and Mathew Lahaderne, all of Post Falls, Idaho. As well as his brother Kenneth Bockman.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, His wife Pat, son’s Micheal Williams and Todd Bockman, and numerous loving family and friends.

Interment is at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are provided by Yates Funeral Home.
