Karen Lynette Lange, 64

Karen Lynette Lange, 64 years old of Hauser, Idaho, passed away on July the 26th at home surrounded by family, after a lengthy battle with health issues. Karen was born Dec. 17, 1956, in Glendale, Calif. She was raised in southern California by her loving parents, Chester and Marilyn Tyner (Waters).

Karen met the love of her life, Dale Lange, and they were married July 2, 1978 in Simi Valley, Calif. She was a loving and devoted mother to Brandon and Karilyn. In 2004, they moved to North Idaho where she enjoyed spending time with her family fishing, boating and enjoying the peace and serenity that North Idaho offers. She enjoyed spending time outside with her dogs “girls” and watching the hummingbirds, swallows, turkeys, eagles, deer and the beautiful North Idaho sunsets from her front porch.

In addition to raising and supporting her family, Karen worked as an owner, supervisor, and administrative assistant in the insurance, merchandising, marketing and banking industries. However, her favorite job was being Nana to her grandkids.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents. Karen is survived by her husband, Dale at home; her son, Brandon (Danielle) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; daughter, Karilyn (Levi) of Athol, Idaho; grandsons, Cooper and Hunter Lange and Landon Wilk; granddaughter, Shelby Wilk; brothers, Martin (Susan), Michael (Marie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of North Idaho Nephrology and U.S. Renal Care for their compassion, care and support.

The family plans a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kootenai Humane Society, 11650 N. Ramsey Road, Hayden, ID 83835 (www.kootenaihumane.org)

Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with final arrangements. Please visit Karen’s online memorial and sign her guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
