WRITER: Sympathy and suggestion

To Ron Dayton, Athol:

I feel for you, brother. Not on the internet, but maybe The Press will relay.

I went through the same process back in September, October, November. Could not access either of the DMV offices. Eventually my driver’s license was suspended.

My daughter drove me to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Department, licensing division, on North Boyer in Sandpoint on Nov. 19. In two days, I had surrendered my license, was issued a temporary ID, and scheduled for the written and skills tests on the next day.

You may want to check ahead. The office opens at 8:15 and the drive is about the same from Athol to Boyer Road in Sandpoint. The service is outstanding. Check in at 8:15. You will probably meet some of your neighbors from Kootenai County.

Tell Ms. Ausman, “Bob Costigan says, ‘Hi.’” She runs a taut ship.
