Volunteers wanted for cemetery cleanup

| April 29, 2021 1:00 AM

Volunteers are wanted to help spruce up Pleasant View Cemetery on Saturday.

A cleanup organized by VFW 3603 Post Falls is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be raking, weeding and hauling, as well as removing of faded flowers, flags and broken vases.

The cleanup comes in time for Memorial Day, which is May 31. The VFW 3603 plans to place flags on the graves of veterans buried there.

Pleasant View Cemetery is at 1298 S Gold Finch Rd, Post Falls. To get there, take W. River Drive to S. Gold Finch Road, which is near Northwest Family Church. You’ll drive through a lot and take a short uphill to reach the cemetery.

Anyone with personal memorabilia on family graves is asked to remove them before the cleanup.

To let them know you want to help with the cleanup, or to provide the names of veterans buried there, call veteran Bob Shay, 208-960-4104 or monumenthunter1@gmail.com

We request that people e-mail me the names of veterans buried there to monumenthunter1@gmail.com.
