| April 28, 2021 1:00 AM

On Sunday, April 25, 2021, Lucinda ‘Cindy’ Baumann, loving mother of two children, passed away in Coeur d’Alene after a long illness at the age of 60. With final goodbyes made by her loved ones, Cindy passed away peacefully with her son and sister by her side.

Cindy was born in Renton, Wash., on Aug. 2, 1960. She graduated from Onalaska High School in 1978, where she was known as an outstanding athlete and exceptional dancer. She and her dance partner would clear the dance floor with their perfectly timed spins and twirls, bringing joy to everyone in attendance.

Cindy was a proud enrolled citizen of the Blackfeet Nation in Northern Montana, who never grew tired of attending pow-wows and collecting Native American paraphernalia. She cherished her relationships with many cousins living on and off the Blackfeet Reservation. Cindy will be remembered for her generous nature and gift for crafting and gardening.

Cindy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Chet and Gladys (Guardipee) Kimball, and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Marie (Green) Baumann. She is survived by her parents, Henry and Roberta (Kimball) Baumann of Tenino, Wash.,, her biological father, Andy Anderson of Maple Valley, Wash.; her son Gary Baumann of Bend, Ore.; her daughter, Lasca Baumann of Coeur d’Alene; her sisters Dianne Baumann of Moscow and Roberta (Shane) Wherry of Rochester, Wash.; her brother, Sam Baumann of Seattle; her grandchildren, Mischa, Henry, Ayashe, Bobby and Kiah; her cousin and room-mate, Wilma Sutton of Coeur d’Alene; and her long-time canine companion, Daisy the dog. Cindy also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.

A memorial celebration of Cindy’s life is being planned for late spring or early summer of this year somewhere near her parents’ home in Centralia, Wash.
