DALTON: A vehement objection

Please reconsider your outrageous plan to allow deer hunting within the city limits of Dalton Gardens. We live against a mountain for God’s sake. If you must hunt them, hunt them there!

My grandkids and my dog play in the acreage around our home. I do not want them under any circumstances to be exposed to the dangers of hunting — in our neighborhood!

You can say anything you wish about how you would reduce the risks, but the risk would still be there. You could not guarantee that an accident would not happen, or that myself or anyone else in my family would not be traumatized by the sight of an animal being killed in our neighborhood.

Let me state this plainly: I would sue the crap out of the city if anyone in my family, including our pet, were to be hurt or traumatized. I would rally behind anyone else who might be hurt or traumatized. I would certainly support a recall of each and every one of you if this passes.
