DALTON: Deer decision dangers

| April 28, 2021 1:00 AM

You hear of crazy things as you go through life but bow/arrow hunting within a city limit jumps to the top of the list!

My heart goes out to the men, women, children, dogs and cats in Dalton Gardens. You may be walking along one day and be struck by an errant arrow. What’s to say some overzealous hunter won’t shoot an arrow over the roadway just to maim a deer?

Please, Dalton city leaders, take heed of the sound and just points Jamie Smith made in The Press on April 24. It sounds like she’s the only logical person in Dalton Gardens.

I live in a populated deer/elk area, going on 30 years. I don’t feed the deer. They just come for whatever reason. It’s life in a rural area (although that rural area will soon be disappearing like all other sections of Kootenai County much to my dismay).
