| April 25, 2021 1:00 AM

Lynn Tarbox, 87, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away on April 15, 2021. Lynn was born in Glendale, Calif., on Feb. 16, 1934, to Lillian Houston and Irving Tarbox. Lynn grew up in Los Angeles, was raised by his dear aunt, Letha Houston, and attended University High School and received his business degree from UCLA in 1955.

Lynn had a successful career in the computer and banking industries, working at IBM and retiring from Union Bank as president of Union Bank Computer Corporation prior to moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1989.

Lynn had a lifelong interest in sports, travel, reading, and cooking, and was devoted to his family and community. He was a trumpet player and longtime member of the North Idaho symphony. He was appreciated for his larger-than-life personality with a big heart to match, his great sense of humor, copious use of superlatives, and his fervent love of life.

Lynn is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Suzanne, to whom he was married for more than 40 years. Also beloved by Lynn were their nine children, 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one cat.

There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kootenai Humane Society (https://www.kootenaihumane.org), or to your favorite animal charity or food bank.
