Marion Jervis ‘Jeri’ Johnson, 86

| April 25, 2021 1:00 AM

Marion Jervis “Jeri” Johnson was born Nov. 2, 1934, in Rowayton, Conn., to John Henry and Marion (MacKinnon) Traendly.

Over a 45-year working career she was employed as an executive secretary, project administrator, accountant and bookkeeper. A late-life convert to Roman Catholicism, she was a member of and volunteer at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. Jeri was a voracious and eclectic reader, a collector of books, teddy bears, owls and rocks, and a lover of classical music and solitude.

She was predeceased by an infant who did not live to term, her parents and step-parents. She is survived by three children, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four half siblings. Very special love and gratitude to Brenda Erickson, who all but adopted her when her health started to fail, acting as medical power of attorney, doing errand running, laundry, and bringing lattes at least once a week. Also special thanks to Lorraine (kma), Cyndi and her mom, Kathy and Liz. You know why.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho, would be appreciated. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815. Inurnment will follow the mass at the St. Pius X Columbarium and Prayer Garden.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements. Please visit Jeri’s online memorial and sign her guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
