LEVY: Show improvement first

Thank you, Charles Rentz, for your letter, “Don’t Support Failure.” When the Post Falls school levy failed, I believed that the voters got it right here. Why would we agree to throw more money at a system that is, from all indications, failing our children?

Why in the world do we rank so low nationally — a grade of D+? Unacceptable. Why doesn’t Post Falls School District work really, I mean, REALLY hard this next year to bring us up to the top section in the country, and THEN ask for more funds to do more things? That is a serious question.

And please don’t tell me that more money will bring us up to the best! It hasn’t so far…and there have been many levies and millions of dollars thrown at the system to date! Please don’t keep failing us!
