COEUR d’ALENE — The one-of-a-kind Red Hot Mamas musical/comedy performance group is looking for fun-loving women with a genuine zest for life who are energetic, reliable, half nuts and ready to break some stereotypes.

Women must be at least 18 and be a mama, grandmama, great-grandmama or just plain great.

While past experience is not required, cheerleading, drill team, theatrics, clowning, and chocoholic training are all valuable.

The Mamas have a rich 30-year history of experience including Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades, Presidential Inauguration Parades, London New Year’s Festival, Bowl Parades and extensive community service.

They launched 2021 with “flash” parades and will continue to ease on down the road to the Women’s Conference, the Coeur d'Alene Marathon, outdoor markets, Car d’Lane, the Fourth of July Parade, North Idaho Veterans Stand Down and so much more.

Exciting performances in Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival are coming up in 2022.

The RHM are casting for banner babes, twirlers, drivers, character actresses, dancers, singers, seamstresses and tech Support. All women interested in auditioning are encouraged to wear comfortable exercise clothing. A warm-up, stretch and short dance combination will be taught. To audition for singing roles, bring Bluetooth accompaniment and be prepared to perform a song without using notes, or simply sing "Happy Birthday" without music.

Auditions will be from 3 to 5 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church, 521 E. Lakeside Ave., Coeur d'Alene. Use the west entrance. The audition fee is $10 by check or cash.
