PREP ROUNDUP: Lake City takes two from Moses Lake softball

MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Jenna Glenn hit a three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning and Phoebe Schultze struck out 14 in a two-hitter as the Lake City Timberwolves swept the Moses Lake Chiefs 12-8 and 5-3 in nonleague softball on Wednesday at Moses Lake High.

Abby Jankay scored three runs for Lake City, which scored five runs in the top of the ninth in the first game to secure a win.

Glenn and Bodak drove in two runs each in the nightcap for Lake City (11-4), which hosts Coeur d’Alene in a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.

Moses Lake is 4-2.

Post Falls sweeps in

dual with Lakeland, Moscow

RATHDRUM — Isaac Ballew won the 200-meter dash, 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles for the Trojans boys in a dual win over the Hawks and Bears at Lakeland High late Tuesday.

Capri Sims of Post Falls won the shot put and discus as the Trojan girls edged the Hawks for the team title.

Both Lakeland and Post Falls will compete in the Christina Finney Relays on Friday at Post Falls High.
