NIC SOCCER: Williams strikes late for Cardinal men

COEUR d’ALENE — Ethan Williams scored unassisted in the 88th minute for North Idaho College, which beat visiting Columbia Basin College 3-2 in a Northwest Athletic Conference match at Eisenwinter Field on Wednesday afternoon.

Will Korkernak opened the scoring four minutes into the match for NIC, which led 2-1 at halftime after a goal by Jaden Eder in the 15th minute.

Columbia Basin tied the match on a goal by Raymundo Curiel in the 86th minute.

NIC (2-3-0, 2-2-0 NWAC) travels to Wenatchee Valley on Saturday.

Columbia Basin is 2-4-1, 1-4-1.

COEUR d’ALENE — Gabriella Eldridge scored on an assist from Kendall Bell in the seventh minute for the Cardinals, but a late goal by Avery Bond in the 80th minute was the difference in a Northwest Athletic Conference match at Eisenwinter Field.

Hailee Mize had nine saves for NIC (1-4-0, 1-4-0 NWAC), which travels to Wenatchee Valley on Saturday.

Columbia Basin is 4-2-0, 4-2-0.
