Newby-Ginnings receives Operation Helping Heroes Award from Country Financial

COEUR d'ALENE — Country Financial recently announced Newby-ginnings as a recipient of a 2021 Country Financial Operation Helping Heroes award.
Country Financial representative Isaac Chavez presented $1,500 to the nonprofit which supports veterans and active service members and their families who are struggling by providing free basic household necessities, peer support and resources. Newby-ginnings is supported through donations and fundraisers.
“It’s an honor to present an Operation Helping Heroes donation to Newby-ginnings,” said Chavez. “I was wounded in Afghanistan and had to find a new career. Newby-ginnings helped me get back on my feet in the civilian world and I jumped on the opportunity to give back.”
“We appreciate this gift more than we can express,” said Theresa Hart, founder and executive director of Newby-ginnings. “The last year has been challenging to say the least and donations such as this are the reason we are able to continue our mission. Seeing the impact we had on Isaac makes us even more grateful to have the opportunity to positively impact other veterans.”
Country Financial donated $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders and active duty service members.
