Hayden Kite Festival on Saturday

The Hayden Kite Festival is set for noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Broadmoore Park, 2691 W. Broadmoore Drive.

It is free and for all ages. A limited number of kites will be available for those who don't have one.

Categories will include Best in Show, High Flyer and Best Homemade.

Registration and kite flying will be from noon to 1:30. Judging will be from 1:30 to 2, followed by an awards ceremony at 2:15.

It is put on by the city of Hayden.
