Steven Ray Calder, 46

| April 18, 2021 1:00 AM

Gone too soon, our hearts and our souls are heavy with the absence of Steven Ray Calder, age 46, of Hayden, Idaho, who left this earth on March 30, 2021. He was born on May 2, 1974, to Thomas and Emily Calder. He was a lifelong tradesman in HVAC and a longtime employee of Metal Craft Mechanical.

Steve was a force of nature, determined to provide for his boys and give them the life he felt they deserved. His boys meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his three boys, Caleb Calder, Thomas Calder and Luke Calder.

He was an avid outdoorsman and could often be found deep on a mountain side when he wasn’t at home. He was a multiple time Ironman finisher who was fiercely competitive with a drive like no other.

Anyone who knew Steve knew that he was the most loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and loyal friend a person could ever ask for. His favorite quote was “If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space."

There will be a celebration of life on May 2, 2021. Please feel free to bring your favorite potluck dish and a chair.

English Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Memories and condolences may be left on Steve's online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com
