STUDENTS: Kudos for writing letters

| April 14, 2021 1:00 AM

That was the most refreshing editorial page I have seen in a long time. I don’t know whose idea it was, but The Press participating in a Zoom workshop was a very good idea. I was impressed by the Lakes Magnet School students’ subject matter: Animal cruelty, gender, start class later, child abuse, equality, homeless people, freedom rights, gun ownership, BLM just society.

I think they all did an excellent job of writing, and all the subjects were great. It feels good to see some students still have respect for our country and its principles.

I pray they keep the freedoms of America in their thoughts for all of their life. It will be a lot harder in college. You will be exposed to a lot of professors who won’t like the way you think. They most likely will try to change the way you think.

Stay firm!
