RACISM: Eye of beholders

I’m responding to the My Turn article on Racism by Donald Bishop, retired teacher, Blanchard. Like most liberal Democrats, he suffers from Critical Race Theory. Bishop perceives racism everywhere from flying flags to simple words.

Most people display the Confederate Flag as a symbol of resistance to socialistic Big Brother Government. Bishop proves he doesn’t support “freedom of speech” unless he agrees. He claims there are still 838 hate groups, but less now that Biden’s in charge rather than President Trump.

He challenges you to look around in Fred Meyer and spot those racists. He believes that only white men are racists. Bishop’s solution is via educational indoctrination. I think we’ve all experienced enough of that solution in our schools now; which brings me to two articles in the Opinion Section.

Mya Donnell, Lakes Middle School, and Neveah Villines, Lakes Middle School, both appear to have been indoctrinated with Bishop’s ideology. I hope it comes from their parents rather than Lakes Middle School. Is Critical Race Theory being taught? Maybe the School Board should investigate.
