Edna Day, 91

| April 14, 2021 1:00 AM

After a brief stay in the hospital Edna Day passed away on April 8, 2021, at the age of 91. She was born in England, as was her beloved husband, Ashley, who preceded her in death by seven years.

As a young couple they dedicated their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ after hearing Billy Graham speak in London at the Harringay Arena. Eventually they immigrated to America with their young family and began the adventure of ministering in a new country. Their ministry spanned seven churches and 40 years. Notably, Edna felt equally called alongside her husband and, by faith, she found every opportunity to share the Gospel message and the life-changing presence of Christ in her life with all who crossed her path, including the hospital staff.

Edna is survived by her five children: Jennifer (Colin) Webber, Alyson (Doug) Wayman, Nicola (Bradley) Rowe, Jillian Day and Andrew Day; six grandchildren: Tarris Webber, Adrian (Jacee) Webber, Ashley Kinsey, Katie (Jordan) Sjogren, Josh Day and Nick Day and their mother, Jan Day; five great-grandchildren: James, Jordan and Ashley Webber and Sawyer and Levi Sjogren; and one sister, Beryl.

A very special 90th birthday celebration delighted Edna in 2019, as friends and family showered her with love at the home of her dear friend, Ann. Now her family is planning a quiet private gathering in celebration of her life.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Please visit Edna’s online memorial and sign her guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
