| April 14, 2021 1:00 AM

EVERETT, Wash. — Eli Zummack stole the puck from the Everett defenseman and scored the go-ahead goal short-handed on a backhander with 12:29 remaining, and the Spokane Chiefs went on to hand the Silvertips their first home loss in seven games, 4-3 in Western Hockey League play Tuesday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Zummack finished with a goal and three assists as Spokane (3-5-2-1, 9 points) rallied from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits to post its first road win of the season.

Mason Beaupit made 32 saves — 18 in the third period — to record his second career win for the Chiefs. Adam Beckman scored twice for Spokane, including the tying goal early in the third period.

Copeland Fricker scored his first WHL goal, on the power play, late in the second period as Spokane cut Everett's lead to 3-2 after two periods.

Spokane plays at Portland tonight at 5 at Memorial Coliseum.
