| April 10, 2021 1:11 AM

SPOKANE — Hope Shimatsu, Audrey Walker and Taya Escalante had two hits each for North Idaho College in a 13-1 win over the Community Colleges of Spokane in the first game of a Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday at Spokane Falls Community College.

Walker had two hits and two runs scored as the Cardinals (3-2, 3-0 NWAC) beat the Sasquatch (0-3, 0-3) in the second game 5-4 to complete the sweep.

The doubleheader, scheduled for Memorial Field in Coeur d’Alene, was moved to Spokane due to poor field conditions. Sunday’s previously scheduled doubleheader in Spokane will be played at Memorial Field instead starting at noon.
