VACCINE: Waiting for J&J

| April 9, 2021 1:00 AM

The day that Katherine Hoyer at Panhandle Health is complaining about people not coming in for vaccinations marks two solid weeks we have been calling to get an appointment for the J&J vaccine. The excuse is “none is available for us.” Kootenai Health actually told us it is being saved for homeless people.

On the PH website, appointment slots in Kootenai, Bonner, Boundary, Benewah and Shoshone counties all show as “full.”

When we called just awhile ago to try again to make an appointment, all we got was voice mail. An hour later, no response.

Sure doesn’t sound like an agency that is desperate for customers, does it?
