SPIRIT LAKE — Acacia Pecor pitched a two-hit shutout and Peyton Lindley homered and drove in three runs as the host Tigers beat the Lumberjacks in nonleague play.

Pecor struck out four and walked two for Timberlake (5-2). Lindley hit a two-run homer in a five-run third inning, and her double in the fifth scored Lacey Peterson and ended the game on the 10-run rule.

Emma Howard went 3 for 3 with an RBI and four runs scored for the Tigers, and Bernie Carhart was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs.

“We got our bats going early, which was awesome,” said Timberlake coach Casi Lupinacci, whose team’s last game was March 23, also against St. Maries. “I was very happy how we played, especially after having a couple of weeks off.”

Timberlake turned three double plays, including one on a deep fly to right field that saw Peterson throw the runner out at second base after she tagged at first.

Pecor took a no-hitter into the fourth before Taci Watkins doubled with one out for St. Maries (5-2), which travels to Orofino on Saturday for a Central Idaho League doubleheader.
