Rathdrum Days set for July 17 return

| April 8, 2021 1:00 AM

Community events are returning to North Idaho as activities open up following coronavirus restrictions that shut almost all large public gatherings last year.

The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber already said it is planning a Fourth of July parade on Sherman Avenue and a fireworks display over Lake Coeur d’Alene, as well as a family friendly festival at City Park on July 3.

Now, the Rathdrum Chamber of Commerce has announced it is planning to have Rathdrum Days festivities and the Rathdrum Days Parade on July 17. Both were canceled last year due to COVID-19.

Vendors and game booths will be located at Lakeland High School. Vendor opportunities are limited and the demand is expected to be high so those interested should submit their application soon.

The Rathdrum Days Parade is set for 10 a.m. Staging will be on Main Street between Washington Street ending at Main Street near McDonald’s.

The parade entry fee is $25 for non-chamber members. It is free for chamber members.

Vendor fees are $50 for chamber members and $75 for nonmembers. The fee for food vendors is $100 for chamber members, $125 for nonmembers.

“We would love to have you participate and showcase your business and or organization,” states an email from Ashley Moore, chamber executive director.
