PASCO, Wash. — Sophomore Delveion Jackson, a transfer from Northwest Nazarene who previously played at Centennial High in Boise, had 30 points and 11 rebounds for the Cardinals, who beat the Hawks in the spring season and Northwest Athletic Conference opener for both schools.
Cooper DeWitt, a freshman from Chiawana High in Pasco, Wash., had 22 points for NIC, which outscored Columbia Basin 51-39 in the second half to pull away.
NIC outrebounded Columbia Basin 38-28 and finished 32 of 57 shooting.
Tyler Kurtz scored 24 points for Columbia Basin.
NIC hosts the Community Colleges of Spokane next Tuesday.

COEUR d'ALENE — The Cardinals improved to 3-0 on the spring with a pair of wins over the Hawks at Christianson Gymnasium.
NIC beat Columbia Basin 25-16, 25-17 in the first match, then again 25-17, 25-12 in the second. No stats were available.
