The junior hit the game-winning basket with 3 seconds left as the Royals defeated Oaks Classical Christian of Spokane Valley in the championship game of the Mountain Christian League tournament. O'Brien averaged 15.2 points and 5.5 rebounds, and was also named league MVP. "Morgan is an excellent young man who happens to also be an excellent young ballplayer," coach Shawn Thompson said. "He's talented, coachable, and clutch. He has all the tools and determination a coach could ask for."
