SPOKANE — Conner Roulette scored on a rush up the ice with 13 seconds left in the five-minute overtime, lifting the Seattle Thunderbirds past the Spokane Chiefs 5-4 in Western Hockey League play Sunday night at fanless Spokane Arena.

It was the second overtime loss in as many nights for the Chiefs (0-4-2-1, 3 points).

Adam Beckman of Spokane scored on the power play with 9:20 left in regulation to force overtime.

The Chiefs scored on their first three power plays of the game, but failed to connect on their final two — one late in regulation, one in overtime.

Eric Atchison had a career-high three-point night (goal, two assists) for Spokane, which plays host to Tri-City on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
