RESPONSE: Democrats, what do they know?

Re: The Press needs better judgment on radical opinions.

I’m surprised Mr. Hofstadter didn’t go all the way back to Adam and Eve in his monograph. If he had just changed the worlds to “left-wing Democrats and American political discourse.” He goes on exaggerations, suspiciousness, conspiratorial fantasy. That style of political thinking characterized right-wing groups in American history. Every reference in your letter (Mr. Clayton) could easily define the liberal left progressives Democrats.

Your paragraph starting with “unfortunately,” unfortunately is contradictory to you telling The Press “they need better judgment on radical opinions.” Which you have talked about all through your letter, along with Mr. Hofstadter. Mr. Clayton of Coeur d’Alene is C.O. Johnson Distinguished Professor of Political Science at WSU. Is Mr. Clayton or C.O. Johnson the professor at WSU? There were very few nice words about Republicans in the letter except for William F. Buckley and Barry Goldwater. Unfortunately, those infiltrators all found their way to the Democrat Conspiracy and Hypocrite Party.

You must have seen the political cartoon with Pelosi and Schumer. Schumer’s response, “what do they know” pretty much defines the Democrats’ idea of being partisan.

P.S. Are you the typical professor of political science we hear so much about? I do admire the years of works you had to go through to achieve “professor!”
