CONSORTIUM: Writer has it right
I occasionally write letters to the editor with my opinion on local/national current events. Of course I use my own words in expressing my opinion.
But not this time. I am going to use the words of Mr. Chris Shelton from his My Turn opinion of March 20.
“You don’t know me; you don’t even begin to understand who it is that I am and what I believe.”
His words mirror my thoughts exactly in referring to the The Human Rights Consortium column “There’s Work to be Done Here” and their statement “learning about ways in which all community members can begin to identify and correct our own biases.”
Thank you Mr. Shelton for a fine “My Turn” opinion piece and a word to the Human Rights Consortium — you are painting with a very broad brush.
