Notable calls for the day!

03-28-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy took a cold theft report from W. Hayden Ave. Upon his contact he learned someone had come into the construction site and stole a pallet of 2X4's. This was at the same location Deputies took a grand theft on 03-14-21.

• At the time of this log the wind was just starting to pick up and there was no calls of service related to the storm. The operational plan was forwarded to PM shift, if the storm became an issue.

• Deputies responded to a few alarms throughout the county, but the locations were secured upon their arrival.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Due to the wind, power in the City of Hayden was out which caused all traffic lights to not work. COPS Volunteer assisted ISP at Highway 95 X Honeysuckle with traffic control due to the extremely high volume of vehicles going through that area.

• A Deputy responded to the City of Hauser for a report of multiple gunshots within the city limits. Upon arrival it was determined the source of the "gunfire" were transformers that exploded in the area creating a power outage. 21-12971

• Deputies responded to the 5600 block of Krieg Rd for a report of a possibly intoxicated male stuck on the railroad tracks. BNSF was contacted and trains were stopped while law enforcement responded to the scene. Upon the deputies arrival they contacted a male. The male was intoxicated and had been operating an ATV on BNSF access roads and property. BNSF Police responded to the scene and took over the investigation which will lead to a minimum of civil penalties for delaying the trains. 21-12979

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. Skid Road near Athol for an unattended death. A female was found unresponsive and not breathing. Nothing suspicious was suspected.

• Deputies responded to a domestic dispute. The R/P stated a male showed up at the residence “acting weird and intoxicated” and had hurt his girlfriend. The R/P said the male “Got crazy, and beat up the girlfriend in the bedroom”. She stated the male had left the residence in his car. Deputies searched the area and located the vehicle unoccupied. A K-9 Deputy and his partner attempted to do a track, however, due to the high winds, it was unsuccessful. Deputies later located the male attempting to leave the area in his vehicle. He was placed under arrest for felony domestic battery and attempted strangulation. He was also charged for possession of controlled substance (marijuana) and paraphernalia. 21-13029

• Deputies responded to W. Dixon Ct. for a possible suicide attempt. The R/P stated her “Took something and was on the ground screaming and unable to move”. The R/P said the mother “Drinks too much and takes medications”. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the mother who was conscious and alert, but intoxicated. She was cleared on scene by medical and refused transport to KH.

• A Deputy responded to the Casino for drugs. Casino security located a wallet belonging to a male on the gaming floor. Inside the wallet were syringes filled with heroin. The male was able to leave the casino by security and was last seen west bound Hwy 58 as the Casino called LE. The Deputy took possession of the items and completed a crime report. 21-13039

Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at E. Coeur d'Alene Ave. X N 23rd St. During his contact he learn the driver had warrants for his arrests. The male was arrested and during a search Marijuana, paraphernalia, methamphetamine and a loaded firearm were located. The driver was arrested for the warrants and the passenger was arrested for trafficking about 2 oz of methamphetamine and for poss of marijuana and paraphernalia

• A deputy responded to W Hughes Ln regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. Upon his arrival he contacted a male who told the Deputy he had been kicked out of his girlfriend’s house and was living in the vehicle. During his contact he located drug Paraphernalia, Methamphetamine and marijuana. The male was arrested for poss of controlled substance and cited on drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded E Menser Ave for a 911 hang up. What sounded like a female called 911 and said nothing, but Central Dispatch heard heavy breathing as though someone was winded. Both individuals at the residence had active warrants for their arrest, and no one was there upon the deputy’s arrival. Neighbors reported nothing suspicious at the location, and both wanted subjects vehicles were not there. 21-13130

• Deputies responded to a family dispute at Brookside Dr. The issue was between the R/P and her adult son and stemmed from allegations of alcohol abuse. No crime was committed and units cleared the scene once peace was restored. 21-13158

• Deputies responded to a suicide threat after a male was reported missing/suicidal by his father. Deputies located the male at the Bunco Trail Head. He was highly intoxicated and admitted to taking a large quantity of pills in an effort to kill himself. He was taken into protective custody. 21-13167
