ISSUES: We see them differently

| September 27, 2020 1:00 AM

• If an influx of cash from Oregon and California is rendering property taxes too high, perhaps the problem is the property taxes themselves, rather than new residents seeking a better life. Here’s a novel idea: Use your energy to advocate for lower taxes.

• If you don’t like growth, find a remote mountainside somewhere and go live there. Sorry, but that’s what good cities do: They grow. There is no such thing as static existence. Cities are either growing, or they are in decline. That’s just the way it is.

• Disparaging those of us who have retained our sanity and will not submit to tyrannical government muzzle orders reflects poorly on you. Take responsibility for your own health and safety, rather than demanding others do it for you. You perfectly represent the control-freak, curtain-twitching moral busybodies that are the reason these ridiculous orders exist in the first place. Many of us are proud free-facers, and we will never bow down to wannabe authoritarians like you.
