Second COVID case in CDA district

| September 25, 2020 3:25 PM

The Coeur d'Alene School District confirmed its second coronavirus case today.

According to a letter from the district, an individual at Skyway Elementary School was diagnosed with COVID-19. Both district cases of the virus have been at Skyway.

"One other individual identified as a close contact to this individual has been notified and is now quarantining," the letter said. "The building has been appropriately cleaned and disinfected and Skyway Elementary School will remain open. Additionally, it appears this positive case is unrelated to the prior positive case at Skyway."

The district said it is working with the Panhandle Health District.

The letter said while the district does "not believe your student was in close contact with the individual who has tested positive, we encourage you to watch for any symptoms of COVID‐19 in your student(s).
