On Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., Emerge will host its first drive-in, socially distanced event at the Hayden Discount Cinema.

Guests will be first to experience the reveal of the prints created during Emerge's artist only INK! Print Rally in the form of a drive-in gallery, a first chance to purchase pieces, live music by Willow Tree and movie trivia.

All this, while enjoying dinner and drinks provided by Incrediburger, delivered by Coeur d'Alene's roller derby members, straight to your car!

The premiere of this year's INK! Print Rally documentary will feature the artists along with behind-the-scenes footage of their workspace, creative process and the reveal of their prints.

To complement the film, all music will be provided by local musicians of the Pacific Northwest and a special international artist that supports Emerge's mission.

This year, the artists explored the theme of "Awakening:" Noun. The act of waking from sleep. A revival of interest or attention. A recognition, realization, or coming into awareness of something. A rude awakening to the disagreeable facts. A renewal of interest, especially in a community; a revival.

The theme is analogous to the process of steamrolling sheets of carved wood; bearing stress upon fabric, ink, and wood to create a piece of art that speaks of the artist, the context and the process.

The drive-in event is $45 per person.
