How will you save Christmas?

COEUR d’ALENE — It’s time for you to be a part of Ellen Travolta's Christmas show: "Saving Christmas!"

This year, Travolta and company want to know what community members are doing to save Christmas or how they have saved Christmas in the past.

With how 2020 has been, it's only fitting to bring stories of inspiration to life in this year's show. Share plans for how this will be a memorable holiday — it could be hosting a “virtual Christmas” where everyone connects online to celebrate from a distance, or how families are cutting back on gifts to focus on cherishing the times together instead. It can be funny, sad, poignant or just plain silly.

The selected stories will be read by Travolta and her daughter, radio personality Molly Allen. If your story is selected, you will receive two complimentary tickets to "Saving Christmas" on the evening of your choice. All of the chosen stories will be read on all scheduled nights of the show. Submissions will be accepted now through Oct. 16th via email, mail or in person at The Coeur d'Alene Resort concierge desk. Winners will be notified by Oct. 30.

Mail paper submissions to: The Christmas Show (ATTN: Ellen Travolta), P.O. Box 7200, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814.

Email xmasmiracles@cdaresort.com to submit online. Hometown locations and phone numbers are required on all submissions.

Tickets are $30 per person and go on sale Oct. 26. Visit www.cdachristmas.com to purchase tickets online.

The show opens Nov. 27 and will run every Thursday to Sunday through Dec. 20. Guest and team member safety is our main priority; with this in mind, ticket sales are limited and social spacing has been added to seating. This is one way to help “Save Christmas!”

Happy storytelling!
