Roy and Mary Steele
50th Anniversary
Roy and Mary Steele celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020. They have been residents of Post Falls for more than 50 years.
They have three children, five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter and great-grandson on the way.
Roy has worked as a diesel mechanic and Mary was a stay at home mom.
Clint and Cheryl Bower
30th Anniversary
Clint and Cheryl Bower are celebrating their 30th anniversary on Sept. 22, 2020. They met in 1988 under unusual circumstances. Clint was an owner of a lumber company in Orange County, Calif., and Cheryl was the credit manager of the Competitors Lumber Company.
They were married on a pristine fall day in Corona Del Mar, Calif. After two years of marriage, they made the decision to move to Coeur d’Alene and began the process of opening their business, Braided Accents, a moulding and millwork company. Years of owning a successful business was extremely rewarding and in 2009 sold their business.
Due to COVID, it was necessary to postpone their celebration trip to Vancouver, B.C, but none the less, there will be a celebration dinner at home.
30 years married — 28 years in Coeur d’Alene!
EDUCATION
Kathryn Moon, recent honors graduate of St. George’s School in Spokane, has been awarded a $2,500 P.E.O. STAR Scholarship. Kathryn, a Hayden resident, will be attending the University of Pennsylvania and studying STEM-related courses.
The award was based on her excellence in academics, leadership, community service, extracurricular activities and her potential for future success. Kathryn’s award is sponsored by P.E.O. Chapter CB in Coeur d’Alene.
